From how to winterize your tiki bar to replacing the roofing materials, here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions about your prized investment!
What is the difference between a portable tiki bar and a tiki hut?
A portable tiki bar is made with the roof attached directly to the bar. Whereas, a tiki hut has poles mounted into the ground and a roof built and fastened to those poles.
What is the approximate time from placing an order for you to build my bar or hut?
If there was nothing else to do but build your bar, it would take anywhere from
1 – 2 weeks. Everything depends on what time of year you order your bar and how many are to be built in front of yours. If you order during winter, we can have the bar ready in less than two weeks. But if you order the bar in the spring, it may take up to six weeks or more.

How far do you travel from PA to build a tiki hut or tiki bar?
We travel the entire continental US to install your bar or build your tiki hut.
Is there a limit on the size of a bar or hut that I can have built?
There is no limit to size. As long as you have adequate space for what you want built, I can build it.
I live in an area that gets very cold in the winter with snow and ice, will my bar hold up through this weather?
Absolutely, 100% yes. With the purchase of a Tiki Kev Tiki hut or Tiki bar, you will get many years of enjoyment out of your product. For those of you in warmer climates, you can expect the same results.
I live in a windy area, will the fronds blow off my roof?
Over time fronds can blow off. By installing netting over your fronds, you can prevent loss. The netting, available in our Tiki Store, will hold the fronds down so wind will not be able to blow them off. It’s almost invisible when installed over the fronds and if installed properly, this will add additional years to the life of the roof.
How long will the palm fronds on the roof last?
Palm fronds will usually last about 5 – 7 years. This time frame is really dependent upon the weather in your area. Wind plays a major factor in the life of the roof.
Can I cover my roof for the winter?
Absolutely NOT!!!!! If you cover your roof for any amount of time, moisture will build up between the fronds and your tarp, causing the fronds to quickly rot and grow mold. Once the fronds begin to rot, they will fall apart relatively quick. However, you can cover your roof for a few days or so if you know a major storm is expected in your area. Doing this will actually help prolong the life of your roof.
Can I cover my bar?
Yes, you can cover your bar as long as you want to help protect it from the weather. If you cover it for long periods of time there is always the possibility of mold growth. If you find any mold on the bar, you can easily get rid of it with some bleach and water.
Can my bar blow over?
In most cases, no. The bars are extremely heavy and very well balanced when completed. If wind becomes a problem in your area, during strong windy days you can strap your bar down.
